Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 17, 2026
putt.day (“the game”, “we”) is a free mini-golf game you can play in a web browser and as a Discord Activity. This policy explains what we collect and why. The short version: no accounts, no ads, we don’t sell your data, and most of it never leaves your device.
Data stored in your browser
Your daily scores and streak, your game settings, an anonymous creator ID, and the edit keys for any holes you create are saved locally in your browser (localStorage). They stay on your device — we don’t receive them, and clearing your browser data removes them.
Holes you create
If you submit a hole, we store the hole design, the title and author name you enter, and your anonymous creator ID on our servers so the hole can be reviewed, played, and credited to you. Please don’t put personal information you want kept private into a title or author name — those are shown publicly. You can withdraw a hole you submitted using the edit key saved in your browser.
Shared rounds
When you create a share link, we store that round’s shot path and score so the link can show a preview image and a replay.
Live multiplayer
While you play a hole alongside others — the daily hole’s live “ghosts”, or a Discord round — your in-game ball and pointer positions are broadcast in real time to the other players currently on the same hole, so everyone can see each other move. This presence data is ephemeral: it is not saved and disappears when you disconnect.
Discord
When you launch putt.day inside Discord, you authorize it with Discord’s “identify” permission. We receive your Discord user ID, username, and avatar, which we use to show you to the other players in a round (the roster and your name) and to credit holes you create. We may store gameplay information — such as your scores, streaks, and round results — associated with your Discord user ID. We never receive your Discord password or email. Your use of the Discord Activity is also subject to Discord’s Privacy Policy.
Analytics
We use PostHog, a product-analytics tool, to understand how the game is used and to catch errors and performance problems. This can include the pages you visit, features you use, approximate device and browser information, and error reports. These requests are routed through our own domain. We use this only to improve the game; we don’t sell it.
Spam protection
Hole submissions and the feedback form are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile to keep out bots. Turnstile may process limited technical signals to confirm you’re a real person.
Hosting
The game is hosted on Cloudflare. As with any website, our servers process standard request data (such as your IP address) to deliver the game and protect it from abuse.
What we don't do
No accounts or passwords. No advertising. We don’t sell or rent your data.
Children
putt.day isn’t directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country, and at least Discord’s minimum age when used through Discord).
Your choices and deletion
You can clear your local data at any time through your browser. You can withdraw holes you submitted using their edit keys. To request deletion of data tied to your Discord ID, contact us.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time; when we do, we’ll change the “last updated” date above.
